The Brains
05:25
|
|||
Never eat the brains
You went and ate the brains
Never eat the brains
You ate the god damn brains
It should be obvious, but I am forced to say it
Sounds a little cliche, but it made you all insane
Made you all insane
Then again, it's best not to recall
The civilized essence of all downfall
Neurodegenerative gall to erase all experience
So hungry, so desperate, so callous and cold
Not enough to watch the chaos unfold
We all heard a voice from the heavens untold
"Eat the god damn brains"
Then again, it's best not to recall
The civilized essence of all downfall
Neurodegenerative gall to erase all experience
So hungry, so desperate, so callous and cold
Not enough to watch the chaos unfold
We all heard a voice from the heavens untold
"Eat the god damn brains"
Couldn’t learn to eat what you need
Took from others in need
Couldn’t learn what you didn’t need
Hoarded things you didn’t need
Spit out the food you needed
Burned down the fields you seeded
Realized too late what was needed
Remove the head with the voice
And don’t eat the god damned brain!

Meals
04:50
|
|||
It picked all the meat off of every bone
Then flew back to the heavens to die alone
Where purpose depends upon those who can’t know their own
It watched all of its meals get sick from starvation
Its ceremony of degradation
Only existed for those who wanted it so
Given time with rotten minds
The meals succumb to despair
Does not matter how
They must take to the glorious air
Noble sacrifices to their potential
Does not matter how
Does not matter how
It saved all the eyes for last so they could see
Its eyes were their mirrors to view their enemy
Where vision depends upon those who can’t know their own
Faults in the meals psyches begat lamentations
Leading to spells of doubt and humiliation
That could only exist in those who wanted it so
Given time with rotten minds
The meals succumb to despair
Does not matter how
They must take to the glorious air
Noble sacrifices to their potential
Does not matter how
Does not matter how
If you are lucky, you will be left with no memory
Not scared, just alone and confused
All the things you thought they did to you
Will no longer be your muse
Instincts will no longer consume you
In ways that you are unaware
You will die gaunt
Not knowing what happiness is

The One Who Drowns Alone
04:09
|
|||
I’m afraid of the ocean
Of creatures beneath me causing my demise
Fixated on the notion
That they can see me and weaken my eyes
Sight only wants to survive
Senses trapped inside the mind
An abyss that consumes human kind
Ability and environment unaligned
Forever unaligned
I am the creature that circles around me
I am the water that it calls home
I am the victim, the panic, the sinking bones
The one who drowns alone
A taste won’t do, I must consume
My tragic compulsion to view you anew
Leads to the creature that takes you under wave
It all leads to I
Footprints to the ocean seek to nurture the ruin
Follow
I’m afraid of the ocean
Of creatures beneath me causing my demise
Fixated on the notion
That they can both see me and weaken my eyes
Sight only wants to survive
Senses trapped inside the mind
An abyss that consumes human kind
Ability and environment unaligned
Forever unaligned
I am the creature that circles around me
I am the water that it calls home
I am the victim, the panic, the sinking bones
The one who drowns alone

I hung myself above the written myth of fertile ground
Gave the pages even less competition
The sources of the words will never waiver or confound
I saw the fruit, piled high, their derision
You can still slit your wrists over the written myth of fertile ground
You can hold your head high as all structures collapse
You can hold your breath and hear all the once beautiful sounds
Domesticated animals, happy with scraps
Promises of grandeur came to taste of excess water and salt
“You’re in the greatest of times again”
“Taste my piss and I’ll place upon you no fault”
“I’ll tell you everyone lives again”
And all it will mean is some die early
All it will mean is some are paid to bury corpses
All it ever meant was that runoff has a taste
It trickled down your helpless fucking face
Promises of grandeur came to taste of excess water and salt
“You’re in the greatest of times again”
“Taste my piss and I’ll place upon you no fault”
“I’ll tell you everyone lives again”
Ask for dog piss
Ask for blood
You are privileged
Receive fear
As gratitude
Wet, content visage
You can still slit your wrists over the written myth of fertile ground
You can hold your head high as all structures collapse
You can hold your breath and hear all the once beautiful sounds
Domesticated animals, happy with scraps

Where Entropy Has a Face
05:38
|
|||
Descend into an abyss
Of perpetually unlocked doors
A linear path of torment awaits
Each entrance a disparate war
Forward, behind
Just constructs of the mind
No home and no pearly gates
Individualized terror, all one can find
I see him there
The static figure who insists on decay
Entropy
I fight myself
There is nothing else that I can do or say
Nothing I can do to be whole
Exceptional kinesis
Of the serpent next before my eyes
The room too small for him to uncoil
If he could I’d owe him my life
Stronger, unkind
Just constructs of the mind
Hunger demands such a fate
I once was afraid of snakes
I see him there
The static figure who insists on decay
Entropy
I fight myself
There is nothing else that I can do or say
Nothing I can do to be whole
Must I rot here?
I see no escape only demonic space
Where entropy laughs in my face
All jaws are agape, the predators shape
Each form has a place as my mind decays
All that lies dormant becomes ones torment
Here agony allows no dissent
Memories to efface become ones disgrace
Where entropy has a face
